Frieda's Steps

This project is long over due. I should have started this way back in 2010. I probably just got super lazy. But just as the saying goes, it's better late than never.

So here it is finally, Frieda's random captured moments. Enjoy!

You can cut out the main subjects of the picture to maximize scrapbook spaces.

Making use of colored art papers or construction papers and some old gift wrappers to add color and life to my photos. They make a good border for the photos.

Recounting the months before she turned one year old

Photos are pretty boring without captions, so make sure to say a little something about your memorable photos. Adding dates to your photos will remind you when that special moment took place in the past.

If you don't trust your penmanship, you can make use of the computer and choose the font style that suits you.
How big she'd grown in a span of seven months. She learned to turn over, crawl, and sit.

Spread out the photos evenly so that it will look well proportioned. But there are no rules saying you can't stack them all in one side. You can have the photos in one side and a short back story on the opposite side. It's all about creativity and style!
Learning to stand on her 8th month
Also remember to make a layout of how you want your photos are placed before you put adhesives because once you glued them on the book it'll be difficult to take out and rearrange. Plus if it's already glued and you peel it out again, you may damage the photos and the page as well.

Here are more photos of the 1st chapter of her baby scrapbook. More accessorizing needed on some pages.

The small blue captions at the bottom opens up for more space for journal entry.

The one on the right side of the page opens up to more photos.

I put some cutout statements from old magazines to make a nice statement tag.

This one is the first open flap. You can make use of the spare spaces for journal entries.

The second open flap. More photos and space for journal entry.

You can use the tag for journal entry or another photo (whatever you like).

Using mini books on your scrapbook will help give more space for more photos and journaling.

Pockets also add accents and another creative way to store photos or tags.

found a tutorial of these on a blog in the internet (sad to say I forgot the website).

I would probably make another blog for the next chapter of my baby's scrapbook project.

(Post your scrapbook projects on the comments or share some links to your scrappy).
